What does a typical day look like for a family coming to the Healing Haven?

Candace House acts as a safe, home-base for families to connect, take a break, and debrief while navigating Manitoba's justice system. Families often use our space to meet in the morning before proceedings begin, drop off any belongings they would like to store during court, have a coffee and a snack, or smudge and pray together.

Many families return at lunch to eat a full, nutritious meal, talk about what they heard in court that morning, watch Netflix, read a nap, or take a nap in our private, sound-proofed room.

At the end of the day, families may also return to Candace house to debrief before heading back to their homes for the evening.
