This is the federal agency responsible for administering the sentences of offenders serving two years or more. It is responsible for the care and custody of offenders while they are in prison. It provides programs that might help offenders return to the community and prepares inmates for release. CSC manages institutions of various security levels and provides community supervision of federal offenders who are on parole and statutory release.
